Both Hajj and Umrah are the pilgrimages of Islam but they are required to perform in different circumstances.Like others pillars of Islam which can be compensated in some critical situation, for example, Salah can be offered in next time if a person has a real problem, Fasting can be skipped during the journey and Zakat is mandatory for the person who is capable to pay it.
